Welcome to Chrysalis Club Tynedale
We provide Dementia friendly activities and support in Tynedale.
Chrysalis Club - Prudhoe District
Chrysalis Club Tynedale also holds sessions in the Prudhoe district. The group is held at the newly refurbished Church Hall at St Oswins Church in Wylam, on the 1st Tuesday afternoon each month, 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
We have singing with Ian, pottery with Mel, crafts with Carolyn, table-top gardening with Tom, and always time for a cuppa and cake with a chat. Have a look at Whats On to see our programme (Prudhoe sessions are highlighted in green).
We are a charity that provides an activities club for people living with dementia and ongoing memory problems (our members). It includes their families, friends and support workers. We are now based at our very own premises at Unit 1, Dene Park, Corbridge Road in Hexham (just along the road from the Torch Centre).
We're managed by volunteers and a part time co-ordinator. We organise a large range of activities where family and friends can join in or we can support the member to enjoy the class while their loved ones have some time to themselves.
We also have a monthly Family Members Support Group on the first Wednesday of each month. This is a chance for family members to share their experiences and gain valuable information. There's also an informal coffee–and–chat group for family members no longer attending Chrysalis.
"We always have a happy time here. How can you not be happy when you come to Chrysalis Club?"
